This is a very unique movie with a simple idea portrayed with originality. It is ostensibly the view of an air to sea battle in the Pacific during WWII as seen through the movie camera of a Japanese sailor on board an Imperial Japanese Navy aircraft carrier under intense air attack by US Navy fighters and bombers.

This short movie set on the Eastern Front tells the story of a brief encounter between Russian and German night fighters. It stands out from all other such stories in that this one is a hilarious and creative comedy such as has not been seen in an IL2 movie since The Messenger in 2003 and The Entertainer in 2005. Be prepared for a few belly laughs watching this one.

Action movie depicting an attack on Soviet armour by kanonvogel (tank buster) Stukas. These aircraft could wreak devastation on enemy tanks with their powerful 37mm cannon but they were very vulnerable to enemy flak and fighters. This movie is a great example of integration of human actors in a movie made with the IL2 engine.

A visually stunning action movie depicting Mosquitoes and Tempests attacking a German airfield in Norway.
This is a training movie to help improve shooting in a flight sim. Normally, training movies are not listed on this website as they are not of general interest outside the flight sim community. However, this is a ground breaking movie because it is the first to incorporate animated and talking characters with some success and immerses the viewer into an historical RAF briefing scenario.
Cut Flowers is a very unique Flight Sim movie in which IL2 captured footage is masterfully merged with both documentary and real film clips to present a short tribute to the Imperial Japanese Navy aviators of WWII. The visuals are set to a very moving musical track, Flower of Carnage sung in Japanese by the singer-actress Meiko Kaji.
This is a docudrama movie about Aussie legend Nicky Barr of 3 squadron RAAF. Very creative use is made of the Armed Assault game engine to enhance the human interest and ground action.
This short movie tells a simple story of an RAF encounter with a German Panzer unit during the Battle of the Bulge in 1944. It dramatically raises the bar for the incorporation of live human actors in a Fight Sim movie attaining unprecedented levels of realism.
The 2008 display from French virtual aerobatic team Escadrille RazgriZ. The excellent cinematography shows the team off to their very best, distributed in stunning High Definition.
This short movie tells a simple story about payback, employing a 'Commando Comic' style.
It presents a significant amount of Luftwaffe versus USAAF Mustang combat action sequences, all engagingly depicted through the use of excellent cinematographic techniques.

This historical action movie depicts a typical daylight air raid over Germany by the US 8th Air Force, as part of the campaign of ‘Bomber’ Harris to make Germany reap the whirlwind.
Although this is not a combat movie, School is well worth watching if you appreciate the difficulty of flying aerobatic manouevres in very tight formation. A well filmed display by the best aerobatic team in the IL2 community.
